Nick Carlascio

Nick Carlascio is an experienced educational leader currently serving as the Middle School Principal at Lake Norman Charter School since June 2022. Previously, Carlascio was Principal at Kannapolis City Schools from July 2012 to June 2022, where recognition as Principal of the Year occurred in 2015-2016. Carlascio's expertise includes managing school operations, hiring and training staff, developing master schedules, and advocating for students and teachers. Additional contributions include technology integration and the establishment of a district-wide robotics program. Earlier in Carlascio's career, an extensive background was gained as a Teacher and Assistant Principal at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools from 2003 to 2012. Academic qualifications include a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Administration from Gardner-Webb University and a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Teaching and Special Education from St. John Fisher University.
