Sara Lay

Sara Lay has extensive experience in community relations and development, currently serving as the Director of Community Relations at Lake Norman Charter School since November 2013. In this role, Sara focuses on communications, managing relationships with parents, alumni, and local communities, and overseeing school partnerships, sponsorships, development efforts, brand integrity, and event management. Prior to this position, Sara worked as the Development Director for the Diocese of Charlotte from January 2002 to November 2013, where responsibilities included managing development activities for a college campus division and securing financial support for regional agencies. Earlier in the career, Sara held the position of Communications Integration Manager at First Union National Bank for one year, executing marketing communications to promote internal business units. Sara Lay holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Marketing and a minor in Communications from Eastern Michigan University.
