Colin Thacher

Colin Thacher is an experienced educator and media production professional with a diverse background. Currently, Colin serves as an English Teacher at Lake Oswego High School since August 2017. Prior experience includes a role as an Adjunct Writing Instructor at Portland State University from September 2013 to June 2016, where Colin taught composition and creative writing, including poetry. In the political arena, Colin was the Special Projects Director for Obama for America/Organizing For America in Oregon from March to November 2012, overseeing data, digital media, and operations. Colin's media production experience includes working as a Line Producer for Laika (2007-2010) and freelance roles in production management from 1998 to 2006. Additionally, Colin held production management positions at RDF Media (2004-2005) and Curious Pictures (2001-2002). Colin's educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Teaching from Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling (2016-2017), a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Portland State University (2013-2014), and a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Bard College (1991-1995).
