Stanley Sidor

President at Lake-Sumter State College

Dr. Stanley M. Sidor leads Lake-Sumter State College with a focus on improving our student’s experience through innovation, value, and strategic partnerships with the community. Dr. Sidor became the sixth president of Lake-Sumter State College in February 2016. Prior to his appointment at LSSC, Dr. Sidor served as the President and CEO of South Piedmont Community College in North Carolina. In this role, Sidor developed and implemented a new strategic plan and developed key partnerships with school districts to increase student services and create cost-savings through efficiencies. Sidor has also previously served in multiple roles at Daytona State College, most recently as Associate Vice President responsible for workforce programs and the Advanced Technology College.Earlier in his career, Sidor worked in industrial engineering roles responsible for operational and manufacturing strategy. Sidor has an Ed.D. from the University of Central Florida, M.S. from Western Michigan University and a B.A. and B.S. from Aquina College. He currently resides in Yalaha with his wife Michelle, and has two grown sons, Michael and Christopher.
