David Hokanson

David Hokanson is the Vice President of Engineering Services at Lake Superior Consulting. David has built his career at LSC managing some of the most complex projects in multi-discipline engineering. He leads an experienced technical staff that includes pipeline, facilities, geotechnical, mechanical, civil, structural, and electrical engineering, survey, weld inspection, construction management, and GIS/CAD services.

Field experience is critical to his team. Dave leads the team with a drive to understand the scope of their projects and the impact on the full scope of their client's programs. He has built a training and mentoring program to ensure every consultant brings the best possible solution to their clients.

He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, Duluth and an Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering and Design Technology from Alexandria Technical College in Alexandria, MN. He is a registered professional engineer in Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, North Carolina, North Dakota, New York, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. He is a certified welding inspector and is a member of the American Society of Engineering (ASME) and American Welding Society.
