Shannon Hitch

Shannon Hitch, Ed.D., NCSP, currently serves as the Executive Director of Special Services for Lake Washington School District since July 2018. Previously, Shannon was an Adjunct Instructor for the School Psychology Program at the University of Washington College of Education from September 2022 to July 2023. Prior experience includes roles as Director of Secondary Special Education at Northshore School District (July 2012 - June 2018) and various positions within Issaquah School District, including Dean of Students and Early Childhood Specialist from August 2006 to June 2012, as well as School Psychologist from August 1997 to June 2006. Shannon's career began as a School Psychologist at Bethel School District from August 1996 to June 1997. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Washington College of Education, a Master of Education in School Psychology from Central Washington University, and dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Humanities and Psychology from Seattle University.
