Kurt Smith

Kurt Smith, MBA, has extensive experience in the veterinary industry. Kurt most recently served as the Regional Director of Operations at Lakefield Veterinary Group since November 2021. Prior to that, they held the position of Area Manager at the same company from October 2020 to November 2021. Before joining Lakefield Veterinary Group, Kurt was the Business Owner and Consultant at Cedar Rock Solutions from November 2018 to October 2020. Kurt also worked as the Director of Practice Operations at Veterinary Surgical Center of Portland in 2018. From 2015 to 2018, Kurt was the Practice Manager at Mountian View Veterinary Hospital. Earlier in their career, they held various roles at Banfield, The Pet Hospital, including Business Partner from 2009 to 2015, Field Director from 2007 to 2009, and Practice Consultant/ Business Coach from 2004 to 2007.

Kurt Smith, MBA, completed their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Oregon Health & Science University in 2018. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology from Portland State University from 1997 to 2000.
