Michael Nitz

Michael Nitz is currently a Board Member at Lakehead University. Prior to that, they were the Business Center Manager at BDC from July 2017 to May 2020. Michael was recruited to lead BDC's Northern Ontario team to provide financing and advisory services to entrepreneurs across the region. Michael has also worked as a Regional Manager for Business Banking at RBC from July 2013 to July 2017, a Branch Manager at Arthur & Ford from September 2011 to July 2013, and a Branch Manager at Edward & Redwood from May 2008 to September 2011. Michael started their career as a Personal Banker at CIBC from September 2004 to June 2005, then became a Sales Associate at President's Choice Financial from January 2003 to August 2004, and finally a Customer Service Representative at Blockbuster from October 1998 to August 2001.

Michael Nitz has a Bachelor of Administrative Studies from Lakehead University, where they majored in Business Administration and Management. Michael is also a Personal Financial Planner (PFP) from the Canadian Securities Institute. Michael has a High School diploma from Woburn Collegiate Institute in Scarborough, Ontario. Michael has also taken courses in the School of Kinesiology at Lakehead University.
