Michele McClelland

Michele McClelland, SPHR, has a strong background in human resources and leadership development. Michele currently serves as the Chief People and Engagement Officer at Lakeshore Management. Prior to this, they worked as an Executive Coach and Partner at LeadQuest Consulting, Inc., where they focused on leadership development and culture change. Michele also held the position of Vice President Human Resources at KishHealth System, part of Northwestern Medicine, where they led various HR departments and played a key role in merger and acquisition integration. Additionally, they worked in talent management at Vanguard Health Systems and held HR leadership roles at Delnor Hospital and BroMenn Healthcare. Michele began their career as an HR Supervisor at Farmers Insurance. Overall, they have extensive experience in HR strategy, organizational development, and employee wellness.

Michele McClelland, SPHR, holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science from UC Santa Barbara, which they obtained from 1982 to 1984. Michele also attended The University of Texas at Austin, where they pursued a B.A. in Political Science and Sociology. Michele has further educational achievements, including a Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) in Human Resources from Portland State University. Michele is currently pursuing a Ph.D., A.B.D, in Organizational Psychology at Walden University. Additionally, Michele has obtained various certifications throughout their career, including Leadership Effectiveness Analysis (LEA) from MRG (Management Research Group) in June 2020, Strengthscopes from Strengthscope® in July 2012, and they hold the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from HRCI.
