Philipp Schmid

Philipp Schmid has over 10 years of work experience in the technology industry. Philipp is currently serving as the VP Engineering at Lakeside Quants since January 2022. Previously, they worked at Avira (Now Part of NortonLifeLock Inc.) in various roles. From July 2020 to January 2022, they were an Engineering Lead MarTech. Prior to that, from March 2017 to June 2020, they held the position of Engineering Lead - Commercial Systems. From March 2015 to March 2017, they served as the Manager Cloud Services & Infrastructure. From February 2013 to February 2015, they worked as the Teamleader Distributed Protection Systems and Research. Starting their career in August 2011, they worked as a Developer Backend Services at the same company until February 2013.

Philipp Schmid began their education at Ravensburg-Weingarten University of Applied Sciences in 2005, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Angewandte Informatik. Philipp completed their Bachelor's degree in 2008. Following this, they continued their education at the same university and obtained a Master's degree in Informatik in 2010.

In addition to their formal education, Philipp Schmid has also obtained additional certifications. In 2019, they received a Certificate in Business Analytics from Harvard Business School. Philipp further enhanced their skills by completing the "AI for Trading" course offered by Udacity in October 2022.
