Ashley Whalen

Ashley Whalen is an experienced educational leader currently serving as the High School Principal at Lakeview Community Schools since March 2021. Prior to this role, Ashley worked as the MTSS Coordinator at Montcalm Area ISD and held the position of Director of Teaching and Learning for Success Virtual Learning Centers at Berrien Springs Public Schools. Additional experience includes serving as an Academic Instructor and Career Development Specialist at Gerald R. Ford Job Corps, and as a Site Coordinator/Case Manager at TrueNorth Community Services, where Ashley specialized in assisting homeless youth. Ashley began the educational career as a 7th grade Social Studies Teacher in the Lee's Summit R7 School District. Education includes a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from Cornerstone University and a Bachelor of Art in Secondary Education from Western Michigan University.
