Gabriel Espinosa

Lead Hard Surface Artist at Lakshya Digital

Gabriel Espinosa has had a diverse range of work experiences in the gaming industry. Starting in 2015 as a Technical Artist Intern at Cubic, they worked on the LCS Project, developing game-based courseware for the U.S. Navy. In this role, they created and optimized 3D models for the virtual ship environment.

After their internship, Gabriel moved on to become a Lead Artist at Calibur Studios in 2018. There, they collaborated with a team of artists to create the look and feel of the fantasy RPG and fighting game, Valor. Gabriel also played a key role in modeling, texturing, and optimizing character meshes and implementing a customization system for weapons and armor.

In 2019, Gabriel joined Lakshya Digital, where they began as an Associate Outsource Artist and worked their way up to Lead Hard Surface Artist. Gabriel'sresponsibilities included creating and optimizing assets for various projects.

Gabriel Espinosa completed their Master's degree in Animation, Interactive Technology, Video Graphics, and Special Effects at the Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy. Gabriel studied at the academy between 2017 and 2019.

Prior to that, Gabriel obtained their Bachelor's degree in Game and Interactive Media Design from the University of Central Florida. Gabriel attended the university from 2011 to 2015.

Apart from their formal education, Gabriel also obtained certification in Leadership: Practical Skills from LinkedIn in February 2023.
