James Houston

James Houston has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various companies and roles. James is currently working as the Finance Director at Laleham Health and Beauty since 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Financial Officer at Inovia International Ltd from 2021 to 2022.

James also held multiple positions at Feather & Black, where they worked as the Finance Director (under Dreams Ltd ownership) from 2019 to 2021, Finance Director (under Rcapital ownership) in 2020, and Finance Director (under Hilding Anders Int'l. ownership) from 2020 to 2020. James'sresponsibilities included leading the integration, turnaround, and sale of the business, as well as providing financial and strategic support to the management team.

Before Feather & Black, James worked as the Finance Director for Mass Consumer Products EMEA at Kao Corporation from 2018 to 2019. James was responsible for overseeing the financial matters of the division and acting as a business partner to the EMEA President and local market GMs.

Prior to that, they held the position of Senior Finance Manager at Molton Brown (Kao Corporation) from 2014 to 2017, where they were responsible for consolidating the financial results of various affiliates and implementing budget and forecast processes.

James also gained experience at EAT. as a Senior Commercial Finance Manager in 2013, where they managed the financial planning cycle and provided financial analysis and support to functional heads. James also worked on a contract basis as a Senior Manager FP&A at Molton Brown in 2013, where they redesigning management reporting processes and optimizing global business profitability.

In the earlier years of their career, James worked at Hilton Worldwide as a Senior Manager in Management Reporting from 2011 to 2013 and as an FP&A Accountant from 2009 to 2011. James'sresponsibilities included managing P&L consolidation and reporting processes, providing management information to the leadership team, and implementing system interfaces.

James also gained experience at Mars as a European Finance Analyst in the areas of NPD Activity Support and Indirect Buying & Commercial Overheads from 2006 to 2009. James began their career as a Marketing Executive at Hewlett-Packard, where they coordinated marketing campaigns and liaised with creative and media agencies.

Throughout their career, James Houston has demonstrated strong financial acumen, business partnering skills, and the ability to drive strategic initiatives and business transformations.

James Houston completed their education history with two notable achievements. From 2001 to 2005, they attended Nottingham Trent University, where they obtained a BA (Hons) degree with a 2:1 classification in Business Studies & Marketing. Following that, they pursued further education and obtained an ACMA CGMA qualification from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, which was completed in 2008.
