Zhigen Zhang

Zhigen Zhang is an accomplished professional in the field of biochemical engineering and biotechnology, currently serving as Vice President of Yeast Process Technology and R&D Director at Lallemand since July 2022. Prior to this role, Zhigen Zhang held various positions at Lallemand from 1999 to 2022, including Senior R&D Manager and R&D Manager. Zhigen Zhang also gained valuable experience as a Research Engineer at AstraZeneca from 1997 to 1999 and as a Research Associate at the University of Waterloo from 1993 to 1997. Zhigen Zhang began an academic career as a Lecturer/Biochemical Engineer at Shanghai University from 1987 to 1993. Educationally, Zhigen Zhang earned a PhD in Biochemical Engineering/Biotechnology from the University of Waterloo and a Master of Engineering in Biochemical Engineering from East China University of Science and Technology.
