Justin P. Freedman

Justin P. Freedman is a seasoned Staff Product Engineer at Lam Research, serving in various engineering roles since May 2017. Prior experience includes a Mechanical Engineer Postdoctoral Fellowship at Berkeley Lab, where significant advancements were made in thermo-optic device design and thermal modeling. At Carnegie Mellon University, notable achievements include winning the Paxton award for Best Doctoral Dissertation and developing an innovative laser-based thermal conductivity measurement technique. Additionally, engagement in collaborative projects with Seagate Technologies Inc. focused on optimizing thermal properties for advanced technologies. Justin holds a PhD and MS in Materials Science and Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a BASc in Engineering Science with a major in Nanotechnology from the University of Toronto.
