Xiaomin Bin

Senior Staff Engineer

Xiaomin Bin is an experienced scientist with a strong background in surface electrochemistry and materials science. Prior roles include Scientist 3 at Lam Research from August 2010 to June 2017, where formulations for electroless metal deposition were developed and implemented in device applications. Xiaomin also served as a Postdoc Fellow at the University of Western Ontario, designing a high-throughput DNA bar-coding microarray chip, and as a Research Scientist at the University of Toronto, fabricating nanostructured microelectrodes for electrochemical nucleic acid biosensors. Earlier experiences include visiting fellow positions at the National Research Council of Canada, focusing on silicon surface modification for biosensor applications and the development of processes for cleaning various chamber materials. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Surface Electrochemistry from the University of Guelph and master's and bachelor's degrees in Chemistry from Nankai University.
