Alec Rothenberg has a diverse work experience. Alec served as an Engineering Ambassador for UF Engineering Ambassadors starting in 2023. Before that, Alec held various leadership roles in Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., including Vice President, Recruitment Chair, and Secretary. During their time as Recruitment Chair, they successfully increased the spring recruitment class size and managed a large social media following. Alec was also actively involved in the Engineering Leadership Circle (ELC) as a member since 2022. Alec gained industry experience as a Software Engineer Intern at Lutron Electronics in 2023 and as an Accelerate Intern: Software Track at IBM in 2022. Additionally, Alec worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Florida and as a Customer Service Representative at Domino's. In their role as Director of Recruiting and Outreach Director for the Freshman Leadership Engineering Group (FLEG), they coordinated recruitment events and conducted outreach initiatives for freshmen engineers. Alec also served as the Engineering Fair Assistant Director for UF Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering.
Alec Rothenberg completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Florida from 2020 to 2024. In addition, they obtained the following certifications: IBM Accelerate - Software Developer from IBM in August 2022, HTML Essential Training from LinkedIn in June 2022, Python Essential Training (2018) from LinkedIn in June 2022, Unity 3D 2021 Essential Training from LinkedIn in May 2022, and Associate - Mechanical Design (SOLIDWORKS) from Dassault Systèmes in November 2021. It is not specified when they obtained the certification for Hacking 4 Defense from the Common Mission Project.
