David Ames

David Ames has a diverse and extensive work experience, spanning over two decades. Currently, they work at Lambda, where they have served as both Staff Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer since 2021. Before joining Lambda, David worked at Canonical Ltd. from 2011, where they held various positions, including Software Developer and Operational Systems Administrator, supporting Launchpad.net and Landscape.canonical.

Prior to that, David worked at The Linux Foundation as IT Manager, responsible for handling all network infrastructure and Linux systems administration since 2007. David also worked at Open Source Development Lab (OSDL) from 2006 as Systems Engineer, maintaining the production and development Linux systems. Before moving to OSDL, they served at Fortix as Systems and Network Engineer, engineering team lead, and systems engineer for Linux and Solaris.

David's career started working as a Network Test Engineer at Intel Contractor in 2001. David later worked as IT Manager at The Tribune, where they were a team lead for IT and responsible for network, server, and desktop administration.

David Ames attended Cuesta College in 1990 and then transferred to Bethany College of the Assemblies of God, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology/Theological Studies from 1991 to 1994. There is no information about any additional certifications.
