Matthew Colbourne has a diverse work experience in research and data administration. Matthew started their career as a Graduate Library Trainee at HM Treasury in 1997 and then worked as an Information Assistant at PJB Publications Ltd from 2000 to 2003. Matthew then joined Savills as a Data Administrator from 2003 to 2005. At Knight Frank, where they worked as an Associate in Commercial Research from 2005 to 2018, they were responsible for researching, writing, and editing over 150 publications, focusing on European and African markets. Currently, they are an Associate Director of Research at Lambert Smith Hampton, where they have developed innovative reports such as "Sites, Camera, Action!" and contributed to several other publications on the UK commercial property market.
Matthew Colbourne attended Harvey Grammar School in Folkestone from 1986 to 1993. After completing their high school education, they enrolled at Keele University from 1993 to 1996, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Criminology and Sociology and Social Anthropology. Following this, Matthew continued their education at Aberystwyth University from 1998 to 1999, obtaining an MSc (Econ) in Information and Library Studies.
