Dave MacHacek

Dave Machacek serves as the Interim Senior Vice President Academics and Student Success and previously held the position of Dean for both The School of Applied Science, Engineering Technology and Trades and Technology, Energy and Apprenticeship at Lambton College since August 2018. Prior experience includes roles at Fanshawe College, where Dave worked as Chair of Applied Science and Technology and Program Coordinator for Environmental Technology and Science Laboratory Technology, in addition to teaching various applied science courses. Other professional experiences include serving as an Occasional Teacher for the York Region District School Board, a Research Scientist at ArunA Biomedical, a Post-doctoral Fellow at the University of Georgia, and a Graduate Student at Emory University, culminating in a PhD in Neuroscience. Educational qualifications encompass a Bachelor of Science from the University of Waterloo, a PhD from Emory University, and a Bachelor's of Education from Western University.
