Edwina Grant

Edwina Grant OBE will join the council on a permanent basis on December 17.

She comes with a wealth of experience including her current roles as national children's services adviser for the Local Government Association, and senior adviser for Newton Europe.

Previous roles include independent chair of Solihull Metropolitan Council Local Safeguarding Children Board, deputy chief executive at Central Bedfordshire Council and director of children's services at Nottingham City Council.

Ms Grant also has a proven track record in improving school performance as well as expertise in the area of Special Educational Needs.
