Mary Speight

Mary Speight is an experienced English teacher currently employed at Lancashire County Council since March 2023. Prior to this role, Mary worked as a Secondary English Teacher at Hays from September 2020 to March 2023. Previous experience includes serving as a Team Leader - Children's Support Worker at Positive O.T. and as a Children's Complex Needs PA at Your Life Your Way, along with roles in the entertainment industry as a Background Artist with Mad Dog Casting and Cabin Crew at Monarch Airlines. An educational background includes a Secondary English PGCE with QTS from The Manchester Metropolitan University, a BA (Hons) in Education from Blackburn College, and CACHE qualifications in Education. Mary also completed A-Levels in Performance Studies, English Literature and Language, Sociology, and Law at St Mary's Sixth Form.
