Beccy Barr

Beccy Barr is a skilled firefighter with Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service since September 2019, bringing extensive experience in journalism and broadcasting. Previously, Beccy served as a presenter for BBC's North West Tonight and BBC Radio 5 Live Business from December 2012 to September 2019. Prior to that, Beccy's role as a presenter on CNBC included being the Europe anchor for "Capital Connection" and co-hosting "Squawk Box Europe." Beccy's early career included positions at Bloomberg, where roles spanned from Europe Reporter to US Technology Reporter, and at Centaur Communications and Blackpool Citizen as a reporter. Beccy holds a Master of Science in Crisis/Emergency/Disaster Management from Bournemouth University and advanced diplomas in journalism and a degree in Government & Economics from prestigious institutions.
