Jonathan Noad has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several years. Jonathan is currently working at Lancaster City Council as the Chief Officer Sustainable Growth, where they began in April 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Head of Property Investment and Regeneration at Lancaster City Council from December 2022 to April 2023.

Before joining Lancaster City Council, Jonathan served as the Shared Director of Planning and Development at Chorley Borough Council and South Ribble Borough Council from January 2021 to December 2022. Jonathan started their professional career as a Planner at Development Planning Partnership from December 1999 to October 2000. Prior to that, Jonathan worked as an Assistant Planner at North East Derbyshire District Council from January 1996 to December 1999.

Jonathan Noad attended Aberystwyth University from 1990 to 1993, where they obtained a degree in Geography. Following this, they enrolled at The University of Manchester from 1993 to 1995, earning a Masters degree in Town Planning. In 1998, they became a Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute. In 2014, they obtained the Prince 2 Foundation Project Manager certification. More recently, in 2017, they became an Associate Member of the RICS (AssocRICS).
