Michael Debakey

Michael DeBakey is a seasoned telecommunications and network engineering professional with extensive experience in managing and consulting on IT services and infrastructure. Currently serving as a Telecommunications Specialist at Lancaster-Lebanon IU13, Michael oversees telecommunications budgets and engineering IP telephony across various educational sites. As Chief Information Officer at Heritage Communications LLC, Michael focuses on systems architecture, unified communications, and security while driving revenue growth and client relationships. Michael's leadership extends to the VMware User Group, where participation doubled in the Central PA region. With an extensive background that includes roles as Network Manager and Director of Information Technology in multiple school districts, as well as teaching technology project management at Philadelphia University, Michael has a strong foundation in both technical expertise and educational leadership, holding degrees in Computer Science, Instructional Design, and Educational Leadership.
