Alexandra Harrington

Alexandra Harrington is an accomplished legal professional and academic with extensive experience in environmental law and global governance. Currently serving as Chair of the IUCN WCEL Task Force on Plastic Pollution and a Lecturer in Law at Lancaster University, Alexandra also holds the position of Executive Director at the Center for Global Governance and Emerging Law. With a background as Research Director at the Centre for International Sustainable Development Law and roles at Albany Law School as a Visiting Assistant Professor, Alexandra has contributed significantly to academia. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Civil Law in International Law from McGill University, a Master of Laws in International Law from Albany Law School, a Doctor of Law from Albany Law School, and a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and History from New York University.
