Elisabeth Shaw

Elisabeth Shaw is an experienced Bio-Imaging Facilities Manager at Lancaster University since February 2013, overseeing the BLS Bioimaging Facility equipped with advanced fluorescent microscopes and multi-colour flow cytometers. Previously, Elisabeth served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Lancaster University, focusing on the role of SOCS3 in intestinal epithelial cell turnover related to cancer and inflammatory diseases. Prior to that, Elisabeth was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Liverpool, investigating novel molecular compounds for treating pancreatic and gastrointestinal cancers. Elisabeth began the research career as a Research Assistant at Clatterbridge Cancer Research, engaging in basic science and translational medicine for breast and brain cancer. Earlier research experience includes a position as a Researcher at AgResearch, where responsibilities involved animal care, sampling, and laboratory work related to anaerobic bacterial cultures. Elisabeth holds a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Liverpool and a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry from Massey University.
