Nathaniel Powell

Nathaniel Powell is an experienced Africa Analyst at Oxford Analytica since June 2021 and serves as an Honorary Researcher at Lancaster University's Centre for War and Diplomacy. Additionally, Nathaniel has been a Research Associate at the Fondation Pierre du Bois pour l'histoire du temps présent since October 2009. Previous roles include History Teacher at Harris Academy Chafford Hundred and Harris Garrard Academy, and Research and Teaching Associate at King's College London. Nathaniel's background includes a Development Manager position with the World Monuments Fund and a Visiting Lecturer role at the College of the Holy Cross. Earlier career experience features a Grants Officer position at the Norwegian Refugee Council and a Teaching Assistant role at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies. Nathaniel holds a Ph.D. in International Studies and an M.A. in International History and Politics from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, along with a BA in Political Science and French Literature from the University of Rochester.
