Rachel Fligelstone

Rachel Fligelstone currently serves as the Head of Service Management & Delivery at Lancaster University since October 2024, having previously occupied multiple strategic roles within the institution, including Head of Strategy & Communications and Head of ICT Focus. With extensive experience in developing and delivering courses for ICT professionals and leading initiatives such as the JISC-funded ReDReSS project at the Centre for eScience, Rachel has a strong background in technology application in social science research. Prior roles include Senior Consultant and Part-time Researcher positions focusing on statistical software support and impact assessments, as well as a history of teaching and tutoring in mathematics at The Open University. Rachel holds a Master of Science in Operational Research from Lancaster University and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics & Computing from South Bank Polytechnic.
