Marco Van Der Heijden

Marco Van Der Heijden has had a varied and successful career. Marco began their professional experience in 2012 as a Process Engineer at Jacobs Engineering. In 2013, they moved to ASML, where they served as a Development Engineer and Manufacturing Engineer until 2017. During this time, they achieved the highest performance review possible in 2015 and completed a six-month on-site development project for Samsung Semiconductor in Austin, TX. From 2017 to 2018, Marco was self-employed as a Crypto Trader and Developer, conducting extensive research on Machine and Deep Learning. In 2018, they joined Perf-iT B.V. - DCIM solutions as a Lead Engineer, managing international projects and coordinating teams ranging from 1-4 FTE. Since 2020, Marco has been the Head of Software and Data Science and a Data Scientist at Land Life.

Marco Van Der Heijden completed a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics from De Haagse Hogeschool / The Hague University of Applied Sciences between 2002 and 2008. Following this, they received a Master of Science in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics from Delft University of Technology between 2008 and 2011. In addition, they have obtained various certifications, including Personal Coaching from Inzicht, bewust persoonlijke groei. in 2019, Deep Learning Specialization from deeplearning.ai in 2018, Machine Learning in Python & R from Udemy in 2018, Afterworks & 3D printing from Porto Design Factory in 2017, Python for Data Science and Machine Learning from Udemy in 2017, and AutoCAD foundation from TekenTechniek in 2012.
