Choon Poh Chia

Choon Poh CHIA is an experienced rail systems engineering professional with a substantial background in leadership roles within the Land Transport Authority (LTA) Singapore, where Choon Poh has held several key positions since October 2016, including Group Director Rail (Electrical & Mechanical) and Chief Specialist for Rolling Stock & Depot Equipment. Prior to this, Choon Poh served as Director of Rolling Stock Engineering at SMRT Corporation Ltd, focusing on train reliability and asset management, and held the position of Director for Sales & Business Development at Bombardier Transportation, leading efforts in the Asia Pacific market. Choon Poh's extensive career at LTA also included various roles in project management and engineering for significant rail lines in Singapore. Choon Poh holds a Master of Science in Railway Systems Engineering and Integration from the University of Birmingham and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Glasgow.
