Alastair Donlon

Alastair Donlon has extensive work experience in software engineering. Alastair is currently working as a Principal Software Engineer at LANDBAY since September 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Worldpay as a Principal Software Engineer from January 2017 to September 2021. Before joining Worldpay, they were a Software Development Specialist at OpenMarket from September 2015 to January 2017. Alastair also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Ink - connecting with travellers from November 2014 to September 2015 and at Resilient Networks plc from July 2010 to November 2014. Alastair started their career as a Senior Analyst Programmer at DST Global Solutions from September 2006 to July 2010. Prior to that, they worked as a Developer at BNP Paribas from October 2005 to August 2006 and as an Analyst Programmer at DST International from November 2002 to October 2005. Alastair began their career as a Systems Programmer at SAM Business Systems from August 2001 to October 2002.

Alastair Donlon began their education in 1994 at University College Dublin, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Alastair successfully completed their studies in 1999. After a break in their formal education, they enrolled at the Open University from 2007 to 2013. During this time, they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Literature. Additionally, Alastair has obtained several certifications, including Datastax Certified Professional on Apache Cassandra from DataStax in March 2017, AWS Solution Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services in January 2018, and Certified Scrum Master from Scrum Alliance in February 2014.
