Holden Hohaia is an experienced professional with extensive expertise in governance and community engagement. Currently serving as a member of the UNESCO Global Geoparks Expert Advisory Panel and a trustee for both Experience Wellington and Te Aro Papakainga / Te Aro Pa Trust, Holden has held multiple trustee positions with Taranaki Whanui ki te Upoko o te Ika and has been the chairperson of Te Runanga o Ngati Maru since March 2015. In the corporate sector, Holden is the General Manager of Māori Partnerships at Manaaki Whenua - Landcare Research, with previous roles including Government and Community Relations Manager at New Zealand Post and Director of Iwi Engagement at Child Youth and Family. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Victoria University of Wellington, completed between 1989 and 1992.
