Nancy Garrity

Nancy Garrity currently serves as the General Manager Maaori Partnerships at Manaaki Whenua - Landcare Research, a position held since February 2023. Prior to this role, Nancy was affiliated with ESR – Science and Research from October 2020 to February 2023, where titles included Kaihautu Wai Māori mō Nancy Wai Māpuna and Kaipoupūtahitanga. Earlier experience includes working as a Research Scientist at the New Zealand Institute for Minerals to Materials Research and Scion. Nancy began a career in engineering as a Design Engineer/Process Worker at Stafford Hardware Ltd and a CAD Operator at Steel and Tube Stainless. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Chemistry from The University of Auckland, a Bachelor of Iwi Environmental Management from Te Wānanga o Aotearoa, and a Master of Science in Materials Science from The University of Waikato.
