Robert Gibb is a highly experienced research professional with an extensive background in informatics and geospatial sciences. Currently serving as a Research Associate and Snr Scientist at Landcare Research since 2006, Robert has led multi-disciplinary teams and managed significant geospatial data holdings in New Zealand. Notable roles include co-chair of the Discrete Global Grid Systems SWG at the Open Geospatial Consortium and Lead for ISO TC211 19170, where Robert contributed to key standards in geospatial information. Robert's previous positions include various scientist roles at institutions such as the Soil Conservation Center and DSIR Land and Soil Sciences, alongside teaching responsibilities at Victoria University of Wellington. Robert holds a Master of Science in Physics and Astronomy from Victoria University of Wellington.
