Global Gender And Land Advisor at Landesa

Shipra Deo is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in gender and land rights advocacy. Currently serving as the Global Gender and Land Advisor and Director of Women and Land at Landesa since November 2015, Shipra provides strategic leadership to enhance women’s land rights and supports policy change initiatives at both state and national levels. Previous roles include Gender Technical Advisor at ACDI/VOCA, where Shipra advised on gender equity in projects across South Asia and Central Europe, and Program Manager for Gender and Livelihoods at Agribusiness Systems International, focused on improving livelihoods for smallholder farmers. Earlier experiences include working with BASIX to promote livelihoods in Rajasthan, and starting a career as a Development Apprentice at Professional Assistance for Development Action. Shipra holds a Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture from GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, a Master's Degree in Environmental Science from the University of Lucknow, and a certificate in Community Driven Development from Saint Xavier University in Canada.
