Thorsten Donn

Thorsten Donn is an experienced urban planning professional currently serving as the head of the office for urban planning and housing at the City of Stuttgart since May 2022. Prior roles include head of urban planning and development control at Stadt Schorndorf, where responsibilities encompassed building planning, development control, and strategic city and traffic planning from August 2019 to May 2022. Donn also held the position of head of town planning at the Vaihingen an der Enz municipal administration, focusing on urban development and building culture from September 2013 to July 2019. Previous experience includes strategic urban planner at the City of Freiburg, along with various positions in urban design and planning at different firms and institutions since 2002. Thorsten Donn holds a Dipl. - Ing. in Architecture from Technische Universität Braunschweig, a Regierungsbaumeister degree in urban planning from Land Baden-Württemberg, and completed an Erasmus program in architecture at Ghent University.
