Camilo Zapata

Camilo Zapata has a diverse work experience, primarily in the fields of machine learning and education. Camilo started their career as a freelance teacher in 2009 and later worked as an instructor at the Universidad de Los Andes from 2011 to 2013. In 2013, they also worked as a teacher at the Liceo Hypatia. In 2014, Camilo founded and developed an iOS app called Picsaic and also worked as a teacher at Colegio Reuven Feuerstein. In 2015, they briefly served as an assistant professor at the Universidad de los Andes. From 2016 to 2018, they co-founded and developed a machine learning company called ALAN, which received recognition for its pitch at the ETH EC Award. Camilo then joined Whale & Jaguar Consultants as a physicist and data scientist from 2017 to 2018. In 2018, they started working as a machine learning engineer at Arista and later became an engineering manager at LANDING AI in 2021. Camilo's work experience demonstrates their expertise and passion for machine learning and education.

Camilo Zapata's education history begins in 2009 when they enrolled at Universidad de Los Andes. Camilo pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics until their graduation in 2013.

After completing their undergraduate studies, Camilo obtained an IELTS certification from the British Council in July 2013.

In 2014, Camilo attended New York University for a short period to gain Professional Studies in iOS App Development.

Camilo continued their academic journey and joined ETH Zürich in 2015. Camilo pursued a Master's Degree in Physics and completed their studies in 2017.
