Yun also held the position of Head of innovation and scientific director at Synbio Technologies from July 2020 to November 2020.

Dr. Chen's earlier work includes being a Research Assistant Professor at Albert Einstein College of Medicine from January 2014 to July 2020. During their time there, they made significant contributions to the field, including the identification of a novel pathway that negatively regulates heart function and breakthrough discovery of a subunit of F1F0 ATPase.

Prior to their role at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Dr. Chen was a senior scientist at Washington University in St. Louis from May 2009 to December 2013. Yun'sresearch focused on various aspects of mitochondrial dynamics, quality control, and cell death pathways.

Before joining Washington University, they worked as a Research Scientist at UMDNJ from 2002 to 2009. Yun'sresearch at UMDNJ involved the study of angiogenesis regulation and the identification of a microRNA involved in down-regulating antiangiogenic homeobox genes.

Dr. Chen began their research career as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Chinese Academy of Sciences from September 1997 to July 2002. Yun'swork there involved the identification of a beta-subunit chorionic gonadotropin and the development of a DNA vaccine for immune-contraceptive therapy.

In summary, Dr. Yun Chen's work experience spans over several prestigious institutions and encompasses a wide range of research areas, including cardiac function, mitochondrial dynamics, angiogenesis regulation, and vaccine development.

Yun Chen, Ph.D. completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Sichuan University, where they studied from 1993 to 1997. Yun then pursued a Ph.D. in Physiology and Immunology from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, which they obtained from 1997 to 2002. Following their doctoral studies, they conducted postdoctoral research at Washington University in St. Louis from 2009 to 2013, focusing on Molecular Genetics, Cardiovascular Disease, and Mitochondria Biology.
