Tate Plath's work experience begins in 2010 as an Assistant to the Athletic Director and REX worker at Wisconsin Lutheran College. They then became a Concession Manager Intern at the same college before moving on to work as a Front Desk employee at Baldpate Inn in 2012. In 2013, Tate worked as a HERO and Personal Banker at Guaranty Bank FSB. From 2014 to 2017, they served as a Mortgage Loan Processor at Bank of England, Mortgage Division. After that, Tate held multiple roles at Commerce State Bank, including Junior Credit Analyst and later Credit Analyst II. They joined U.S. Bank in 2020 as a Credit Analyst, and most recently, in 2022, Tate became a Senior Business Credit Analyst at Landmark Credit Union.

Tate Plath attended St. Croix Lutheran High School from 2004 to 2008, where they received their high school diploma. Following this, they enrolled in Wisconsin Lutheran College from 2008 to 2013, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration. In addition to their formal education, Tate Plath has also obtained certifications in Introduction to Commercial Lending from the Wisconsin Bankers Association in September 2018 and Introduction to SBA Lending from the U.S. Small Business Administration in January 2018.
