Barry Miller

Barry Miller is a partner in Landmark’s private equity group. He is engaged in transaction origination, underwriting and negotiation of private equity investments.

Prior to joining Landmark in 2013, Mr. Miller was head of private equity at the New York City Retirement Systems (“NYCRS”), a $140 billion pension fund with $17 billion+ in private equity commitments. Mr. Miller served on the LP Advisory Boards of 40+ private equity funds and while at NYCRS, led the sale of $1 billion of private equity funds. Earlier in his career, he was a partner at Pomona Capital (“Pomona”) where he focused on sourcing and executing secondary transactions. Mr. Miller was a member of the Pomona Capital Investment Committee, which reviewed and committed capital to secondary, primary and co-investment opportunities. Prior to joining Pomona, he spent seven years at AXA Private Equity, where he was a senior investment manager and head of the New York office. In that role, he was responsible for sourcing and executing secondary transactions as well as evaluating and analyzing private equity funds on both a primary and secondary basis. Mr. Miller served on the Global Investment Committee of AXA Private Equity.

Currently, Mr. Miller serves on the Board of Directors for the Robert Toigo Foundation, an organization devoted to diversity in the investment management business. Additionally, Mr. Miller sits on the Advisory Board of Trilantic Energy Partners. Mr. Miller previously served as a member of the Sponsors for Educational Opportunity (“SEO”) Limited Partner Advisory Council.

Mr. Miller received a BA from Tulane University.
