Emily Barber

AVP, Human Resources at Landmark Properties, Inc.

Emily has been a member of Landmark Properties since 2007. During her time with Landmark, Emily has served in varying roles both on site and at the corporate level. Ultimately finding her niche in human resources, she now holds the position of Associate Vice President of People and Culture and is a Senior Certified Professional through the Society of Human Resource Management. In this role, Emily’s main objective is to provide staff with the necessary tools to succeed in their positions. This includes developing and overseeing specialized training programs, talent acquisitions, employee relations, and payroll and benefits. As part of her role, she is also responsible for improving employee engagement and enriching the company’s culture through her partnership with FranklinCovey and her credentials as a facilitator of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and Four Disciplines of Execution. Identifying and encouraging new talent is a passion of Emily’s and one she gets to pursue regularly through her part-time professorship with the Residential Property Management program at UGA and her position on the UGA RPM Advisory Board.

Emily, originally from south Georgia, moved to Athens to attend the University of Georgia where she graduated with her BA in English and Master’s of Education in Learning, Leadership, and Organizational Development.
