Carolyn Y. has held various roles in the clinical research and quality assurance fields since 2002. Her career began as a Clinical Research Coordinator II at Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary in 2002. Carolyn then moved to Parexel International in 2003 as a Clinical Data Manager. In 2004, they joined FutureSearch Trials as a QA/Clinical Research Manager and Sr. Certified Clinical Research Coordinator. In 2012, they joined PPD as a Clinical Research Associate II. In 2014, they joined The Coghlan Group Inc. as a QA Manager. In 2017, they were promoted to Director of Quality Assurance at The Coghlan Group Inc. (DBA: Caligor Coghlan Pharma Services). In 2019, they joined Caligor Coghlan as a Sr. Director Global Quality Assurance. In 2021, they moved to Repertoire Immune Medicines as a Director QA - GCP and is currently employed at Landos Biopharma, Inc. as Director GCP Quality Assurance.

Carolyn Y. holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Washington, a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Brandeis University, and a Presidential Management Fellow from the US Department of State in International Relations and Affairs. Carolyn also holds a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) certification from ACRP, obtained in August 2006, and an RQAP certification from the Society of Quality Assurance.
