Hlynur Geir Guðmundsson has over 30 years of experience in IT procurement and management. Hlynur Geir currently serves as the Head of IT Procurement & Contract Management at Landsbankinn since 2018. Before joining Landsbankinn, they worked at Statoil as the Principal Professional Strategic IT Procurement from 2011 to 2018. Guðmundsson also held the position of IT Procurement Manager at Arion Bank from 2007 to 2011. Hlynur Geir Guðmundsson completed their Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems at Ohio University between 1985 and 1988. Hlynur Geir then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a specialization in Innovation, Strategy, and Information Technology from EDHEC Business School in the academic year 1996-1997.
