Charles Oppenheimer is an accomplished engineer and entrepreneur with extensive experience in acoustics and technology development. As an Engineer at LandScan since December 2019, Charles focuses on intelligent site characterization for agriculture and forestry. In addition, Charles has served as President of Plurasense since October 2011, where responsibilities include raising capital for the start-up specializing in pest monitoring solutions. Charles held the position of TC26 Chair at Ecma International from April 2015 to June 2020, contributing to advancements in international standards. Previous roles include Acoustics Expert at HP, where Charles enhanced printer sound quality, and Acoustic Consultant at Daly Standlee & Associates. As Principal Scientist at Anteon, consulting for the US Navy, Charles specialized in noise prediction. Academically, Charles earned both a Master's and PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, following a Bachelor's degree in the same field.
