Nate Hills has had a diverse range of work experiences over the years. Nate began their career as a Welder/Fabricator at Landscape Forms in 1999 and worked in this role until 2005. Following this, Nate became an Engineering Clerk at the same company and held this position until 2015. In this role, they were responsible for creating and maintaining Bills of Material and Routings for products, as well as administering the Engineering Change process. In 2015, Nate transitioned to the position of Project Coordinator at Landscape Forms. In this role, they facilitated new product launches by gathering and reporting project status, ensuring team members had necessary resources, and developing an order entry system. Prior to their time at Landscape Forms, Nate worked as a Parts Department Employee at Century Buick GMC from 1996 to 1999.

Nate Hills attended Kalamazoo Valley Community College from 1995 to 2002, where they obtained an Associate's degree in Engineering. Following this, they pursued Mechanical Engineering at Western Michigan University from 2002 to 2005. In 2013, Nate Hills briefly attended Frank B. Watts' EDC/CM/PLM seminar, although no degree or field of study is specified for this experience.
