Sandra Gestsdóttir

Sandra Gestsdóttir has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Sandra is currently the Director of the Project Management Office at Landspitali University Hospital, a position they have held since 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Össur, where they held various roles such as Director of R&D Infrastructure and Director of R&D Process Management. Sandra also served as the Acting Director of the Design Center and as a Project Manager in Research & Development. Before Össur, Sandra worked at Teva/Actavis Generics as a Team Leader and Project Manager in the Regulatory Affairs Life Cycle Management department. Additionally, they have worked as a Research Engineer at SciLifeLab and in quality control at FISK Seafood. Sandra started their career as an Assistant Pharmacist at Landspitali University Hospital.

From 2009 to 2011, Sandra attended KTH Royal Institute of Technology, where they obtained a Master's degree in Molecular Biotechnology.

Prior to that, they attended Háskóli Íslands from 2007 to 2009, earning a Master's degree in Pharmacology.

From 2004 to 2007, Sandra studied at Háskóli Íslands, completing a Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Science.

In 2004, they also obtained a diploma in French Language and Literature from Université Paris-Sorbonne.

Additionally, Sandra holds additional certifications such as the Project Management Officer Foundation from EAD24h, obtained in August 2023, and the IPMA C Level in Project Management from VSF-CB, obtained in May 2019.
