Marla Walter

Marla Walter is an experienced professional in marketing and communications, currently serving as the Advertising and Digital Marketing Manager and Corporate Communications and Content Marketer at Landstar since September 2021. Prior to this, Marla held the position of Marketing & Advertising Manager at ALFA Dental Management from January 2021 to September 2021, and was the Manager of Community Relations and Marketing at Ackerman Cancer Center from January 2019 to January 2021, focusing on enhancing referral retention and engagement within the cancer community. Marla's background includes a decade of meteorological expertise as a Meteorologist at WMBF, where impactful, hyper-local weather forecasting and communication were paramount. Marla holds a Master of Science degree in Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology from Mississippi State University, as well as dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Journalism and Drama from the University of Mississippi.
