John J. Hansen

Head of Landowner Profitability Programs at LandTrust

John J. Hansen has extensive experience in ranch operations and land management. John J. started their career in 1995 as a Ranch Property Manager at Turner Enterprises, where they oversaw sixteen ranches spanning nearly 2 million acres. From 2005 to 2017, they served as the Assistant General Manager, providing assistance to property managers and contributing to decision-making processes. Hansen then held the position of Director of Ranch Operations at Turner Enterprises from 2017 to 2021, where they had direct oversight and budget management responsibilities for the company's Western Properties. Currently, they are serving as the Head of Landowner Profitability Programs at LandTrust, starting from 2021.

John J. Hansen completed their Bachelor's degree in Animal Sciences from Montana State University-Bozeman in the years 1976 to 1980. John J. then pursued postgraduate studies in Environmental Science at the University of Montana from 1983 to 1984. Following this, they obtained a Master of Science degree in Range Science and Management from Montana State University-Bozeman from 1984 to 1986.
