Aminah F. Gooch

Aminah Gooch, Ph.D., currently serves as the Associate Vice-President for Academic Affairs at Lane College since August 2017, where responsibilities include supporting the administration of academic programs and leading faculty development initiatives. In addition to the administrative role, Aminah Gooch holds the position of Associate Professor of Chemistry, having taught a diverse range of chemistry courses at both lower and upper levels. Prior to Lane College, Aminah Gooch gained extensive experience at Jackson State University, engaging in research as a Graduate Researcher and instructing General Chemistry labs. Aminah Gooch's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Jackson State University and a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from Rust College. Additionally, participation in various research and mentorship programs showcases a commitment to academic and professional development in the field of chemistry.
